The 2010 Orange County Fair is rapidly approaching and many local FFA and 4H members are busy working with their animal projects to prepare them to be shown at the fair. These young people will spend many hours caring for these animals. Daily feeding, cleaning and handling of the project animals prepare them to be judged during the fair and those deemed to be of market quality and readiness will be auctioned at the Junior Livestock Auction starting at 9:30 AM on Saturday July 24, 2010.

These youth are the leaders of tomorrow. The FFA and 4H programs are designed to teach their members valuable leadership skills that will benefit them in any career they may choose. The animal projects teach them the meaning of responsibility, hard work and the basics of running a small business. Since one of the goals of these projects is to make a profit we encourage everyone to come to the auction and make a purchase to help our young people meet their goals and reward them for all of their hard work and commitment to becoming the leaders of tomorrow.
